What is the State Challenge?

Launched March 1st the State Challenge is an opportunity to “Raise Your Hand” by expanding the reach of the Massage Therapy Foundation’s mission, programs and benefits to massage therapists.

What is the purpose of the State Challenge?

To invest in the future of the profession
To increase financial support to provide more research, education and community service grants
To develop a healthy team competition across individuals and states
How does it work?

The concept is simple – to raise more funds to support the MTF mission to fund research, education and community service grants.
Beginning March 5th through June 30th, states can raise funds through individual giving or MTF approved state fundraising events. Every donation designated to the state challenge will be calculated to that state overall total and updates will be regularly posted on the Foundation’s website.

What can state chapters win?

At the conclusion of the State Challenge in June …States who have raised a minimum of $6,000 will be offered the opportunity to name a 2017 Community Service Grant. This is an outstanding opportunity to honor a special chapter member who has made an impact in the field, or recently passed on. The chapter could, instead, decide to name the grant after the great state they come from, the choice is yours. Your chapter will receive recognition for that year, in many areas, including the Foundation’s website and social media.
