The Massage Therapy Foundation is at a pivotal
stage in
its
20-year history. Our
founder and primary benefactor, the American
Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) is eager for
the profession at large to embrace the
Foundation, our mission and our development
needs. To help us shift our dependence on them
to the massage profession as a whole, and
because of the state of the U.S. economy,
AMTA will reduce
its annual cash grant commitments to the
Foundation, eliminating that type of support in
three years.
We are eternally grateful for everything the
AMTA has given throughout the years, and we’re
especially thankful for their continued ongoing
in-kind support that includes covering staff
costs, overhead, office space, and many other
forms of valuable assistance.
AMTA’s new approach to their support of the
Foundation is therefore a
challenge to
the full massage profession to
provide the funding needed by the Foundation.
Rise to this
challenge. Support massage research, education,
and community service by donating today.
Your donation will help to promote collaborative
research, deepen the understanding of massage
therapy, and bring massage to people in need.
Thank you for your partnership.
