Dollar-
Per-Member Campaign
The
Dollar-Per-Member
Chapter Campaign
was spearheaded by the
AMTA New York Chapter –
and followed by three
other AMTA Chapters (IL,
CT, and CO) – as a way
for AMTA Chapters to
support the Foundation.
Each summer, chapters
are contacted by
Foundation volunteers who
request that chapters
contribute a dollar
per chapter member to
the Foundation. Chapters
who participate in this
special program are
honored each year at the AMTA National
Convention.
The 2007
Dollar-Per-Member
Campaign raised
over
$40,000 with 39 chapters
participating.

Shape the Future – Ways
to Give Back
Honorary & Memorial
Gifts - A
gift in honor or in
memory of someone
special in your life is
a unique way to
celebrate a person’s
commitment to massage
therapy. The honoree or
the next of kin will be
informed of your
donation with a
personalized letter from
the Foundation. The
names of all people
remembered with a
memorial or honorary
gift will be listed on
our website and in our
annual report.

Testimonials

“I’m excited to support
an organization that
adds such value to my
chosen profession. The
Massage Therapy
Foundation contributes
so much to research and
case reports and I’m
continually impressed
with the depth and
breadth of the reports.”
- Doreen Rossi

“We began donating to the
Foundation in 2003 because
we saw it as an opportunity
to support the profession in
areas that are often overlooked.
We’re proud that our
donation helps in three
ways: (1) to fund research
for a greater understanding
of massage, (2) to educate
practitioners, the public,
and other healthcare
providers, and (3) to help
fund massage programs for
populations in need. It’s a
great way to give back to
the profession that has been
supportive of our company.”
- Books of Discovery
Staff

"As a veteran massage
therapist, I am
delighted to have the
opportunity to
contribute quarterly to
the Massage Therapy
Foundation. The
foundation, in its
support of
evidence-based research
and clinical studies,
community projects, and
up to date literature
reviews, has elevated
the standing of our
profession by validating
with science what we
already know and
experience with our
hands and hearts." -
