Pilot Research Funding Competition - IN-CAM

IN-CAM is pleased to announce the 2008 Pilot Research Funding Competition. The goal of this program is to support and encourage researchers interested in the development of CAM research.

Priority will be given to applications that describe research regarding CAM Health Care Delivery and Policy or Methods to Study the Safety, Efficacy, and Effectiveness of CAM. They also place a special emphasis on knowledge transfer within each area.

Students enrolled in a graduate program leading to a MSc or PhD are eligible to apply but require a co-Investigator, preferably their academic Supervisor.

The National Institutes of Health is sponsoring a grant entitled, "Outcomes,
Cost-Effectiveness and the Decision Making Process to Use Complementary and Alternative Medicine (R01)".  A central goal of this program is to encourage observational studies evaluating the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of CAM approaches as used in the community.  The application submission deadlines are May 19, 2008, May, 19 2009, and May 19, 2010.
